The Paradiddle Prototype will most likely be a pair of socks but I've honestly not decided yet. I might make them into fingerless mitts. I don't rightly know just yet.

In addition to that, I also worked on the Neck-Down Base Shawl, and the Vanillaish Rainbow Socks....not that I worked on much this week. But, I did work a bit on those here and there.

Our trip to Wisconsin ended on Tuesday with our flight back to California from Chicago. It was a miserable trip. Husband's back is really bad. He's been to the doctor and while nothing is broken, he did screw it up really bad. He's on some pretty heavy painkillers and isn't doing a whole lot. I can't say I blame him.

But, that means I've had to do a significant amount of things by myself or with limited help. He was in a wheelchair at the airport, and we were there for seven hours. No, I'm not joking. We didn't know how traffic was going to be, we didn't know how long it was going to take to get through security with Husband's back being all screwed up, and the boys are never cooperative.....

So, seven hours in the airport.....followed by the four hour flight when I had to fight Stormageddon for a good portion. He was oscillating between screaming his fool head off, kicking & hitting me, and sleeping. We all preferred him asleep, of course. My arms and upper back were very sore up until yesterday. If I do something wrong, I still hurt. So, there's that.

In addition to that, I woke up Wednesday and my ear was sore. I let it go for two days before Husband made me go to the doctor on Friday. My ear canal was almost swollen shut and I definitely had an ear infection...by Saturday, it was swollen shut but it wasn't as painful, thanks to better living through pharmaceuticals. But, it definitely means we didn't do much, mostly lazing about. I did take the boys to Safari Run on Thursday for a couple hours, Little Man had swimming lessons, and we took the boys to the pumpkin patch that our realtor's office has every year. But honestly, that's about it.

Found this grasshopper on a car after my doctor appointment. Little Man wanted to take it home but there was no way that was happening.

Little Man got vampire teeth in his goodie bag from the pumpkin patch. So, green vampire teeth and one of our pumpkins.

In other words, yeah. Benign week. Kind of boring. Maybe something next week but let's not get our hopes up :) I hope you've had a lovely weekend!
